On the surface this is medieval Wales in the late 1100s.  Much of the political atmosphere of the time has been preserved in the game.  Another thing to keep in mind is that anything the folk of the era believed was possible, is.  This means everything from magic to the Fae to creatures that go bump in the night and steal away the souls of children may exist in this campaign.

We use the bells from the monastic orders and the passage of the sun to keep track of time in this game.

Sunset – Vespers

9 PM – Compline
